About this Project
My app was designed for people who want to get into fashion but think it's too expensive and who struggle to find their style. An issue StyleMap addresses is fixing the problem of going store by store and not knowing how or where to find their style. StyleMap works by the app providing clothing options and a budget range slider, from which the app learns the user's style and provides stores near their area that sell clothing in their style and budget. Users then have the ability to also shop online in a shop that StyleMap provides and track their order LIVE.

William, I think your StyleMap submission is a really strong idea because it solves a real problem a lot of people have: wanting to dress well but not knowing what their style is or thinking fashion costs too much. I like that your app helps users figure out their style, stay within a budget, and find stores nearby instead of making them go from store to store guessing what might work. That makes the idea feel super useful, relatable, and easy to understand.
I was also really impressed by how much thought you put into the full app experience. Your Figma flow looks very detailed, and it’s clear you planned out a lot of screens and features—from style selection and budget setting to shopping, checkout, and live order tracking. I also think the AI feature is a smart touch because it makes the app feel more personalized by learning what the user likes and recommending options that match their style and price range. One thing I’d still like to see is a little more explanation of how some choices are made in the app, like how recommendations are sorted or how users compare stores, but overall this is a really creative project with a lot of potential, and you should be proud of how much work you put into it.

I love the idea of your app! I am someone who would need to utilize these fashion services, so I looked at your project from the consumer lens. There are times when I want to buy quality clothes, and times I want something cheap to wear once. I like that your app would help me find the vibe I am looking for. First, you should determine who your target audience is. Make sure your app’s design targets the appropriate maturity level. Your app has a nice, easy to use interface, and I would have liked to see more screenshots of it in the presentation. The design process could use more clarity, as I do not know what the pictures are saying. I suggest utilizing the assistance of AI (such as ChatGPT) to help you flesh out your ideas and make sure you include all important details and catch typos or other errors. It seems you may have been a little short on time, however, your ideas shine through and I believe this could really be a thing! Time and money are things we juggle on a regular basis. You are simplifying the shopping process and helping people who are on a budget or need some fashion tips. Great job! Keep working at it!
