Professional Feedback

The fact that you chose to build something around mental health and emotional support shows a lot of maturity and awareness of what people around you are going through. Feeling judged when you share something personal is a real barrier that stops a lot of people from getting the help they need, and your idea of creating a safe and anonymous space directly solves that. A lot of young people carry things alone simply because they do not know where to turn, and something like Safe Talk could genuinely change that for someone. One thing to think about for your next version is how you would make sure the advice people receive is coming from a good and helpful place, since anonymous platforms can sometimes go in the wrong direction. Adding something like a way for users to flag unhelpful responses or connecting people to a trusted adult or resource when the topic is serious would make the platform even more responsible and trustworthy. This is a brave and important project to take on, Shana and Dennis, and you should be really proud of what you built!

Kudos for focusing on a barrier that impacts people needing help. An app is a smart way to access help without feeling judged or anxious. You can also use the app in your own time, when you're comfortable with sharing, and precisely when you need support. This approach reminds me of supportive communities that sprung up in the early days of the internet.

I really liked the user interface and the color palette that you chose.

One important aspect to consider is ensuring that the feedback is relevant and appropriate, and that the participants understand their roles as supportive listeners.

Good job!
