About this Project
Safe Space is a mental health and wellness app designed to make users feel supported, seen, and less alone. It offers tools like an AI chat helper, a cyberbullying reporting system, crisis resources, and relaxing games, all in one warm and judgment-free environment. Users can also connect with a like-minded community, track their recovery journey, and receive daily positive affirmations to support their mental wellbeing.

What's awesome-
Turning something personal into a system to help others is a powerful starting point. That instinct of "I went through this, so I'm going to build something for people like me" is how some of the most impactful apps get started.
You designed a full user journey with multiple screens (sign-in, AI chat, crisis resources, affirmations, community). That's well-rounded product thinking and clean UI design!
It was good to include external crisis resources alongside the AI chat. Not every designer thinks about the limits of what their app can do on its own.
To make it even stronger:
Talk to 3-5 people your age and ask what they'd actually open the app for. You might be surprised, sometimes the simplest feature (like the affirmations scroll) is what people come back to daily. Once you know which feature resonates most, go deep on that one first. Focus is what separates a prototype from a product.
Great job and keep building, Amoy!

You have done a phenomenal job with this project!!
First off, I commend you for developing an app that addresses an important issue that you've personally dealt with. First hand experience or extensive research enhances the design process as the knowledge helps inform design decisions that are made. The resources you provide, such as cyberbullying reporting and the relaxing games, are incredibly thoughtful choices. I also love that you identified the need to pivot the app from only online privacy to also helping others when a larger issue to solve presented itself.
I was blown away by your use of AI. You have developed such a great, fully working, prototype. Reading your conversation, it's clear that you've grasped how to properly prompt the AI to bring your aesthetically-pleasing, feature-rich vision to life. This is an important skill to develop if you ever decide to pursue a career in Product (which I hope you do).
It would be great for you to release this app to a larger audience to understand what's working and also identify additional changes that could be made.

First of all, love how you customized every detail beyond the first output. The tiniest details like the motivational quotes changing every 6 seconds, the communication style of the AI to be more relevant to the primary user groups, the background music, and games. Be mindful of the time spent playing games- this could cause unexpected overuse.
Overall, you have very good vision, planning, and an attention to detail. And these elements are differentiating you from other generic applications that serve somewhat similar purposes.
Only one note, while prompting AI assistants, be as specific and clear as you can be.
Testing this real-time will give you a better idea on what works and what doesn't. Extraordinarily executed, Amoy!

I love this concept! It is a very important topic to tackle. Utilizing personal experience is smart, and it shows you understand your target audience. Does your plan to add human responders include mental health professionals? Knowing that will help people to trust your service. I love that your AI Bot speaks the language of teenagers. It makes it more relatable. Resources are necessary. Great idea adding that detail. Maybe you could include a search option to find local resources, based on location. A little more detail on the app’s features would be helpful. A lot of good ideas were brought up. A user would feel drawn to your app if they can relate to your service. You have to showcase the possibilities of the app and what makes it superior to similar apps. The app design is really nice, and the colors and text bring comfort (if that even makes sense.) Great idea, this could save a lot of lives. You are on the right track. Although you may want to fix your app more, I see where you are headed with this and I love it. Great job!
