Kisleidy, Taj, and Gendry -- what a fabulous and meaningful idea for an app! Across NYC and all across our country, so many young people are struggling with mental health challenges that there are not enough resources to help them. Technology has to come to the rescue, and the thoughtfulness, innovation, and creativity that you've put into "Safe Space" is exciting.

Three things really stand out in your project:
1) Your authenticity and familiarity with the emotional health challenges facing students
2) The thoroughness with which you've thought through solutions and functionality to help students
3) The soothing colors and design that you've used to design this app

Automated mental health tools and apps are a HUGE business. Billions of dollars are being invested to help identify automated alternatives and companions to traditional therapy and other mental health care services. Hang on to this idea. Keep iterating on it, keep thinking about new features. If you can find and are allowed access to it, you may even want to try Figma Make to help you create a working prototype website.

Please remember that AI tools in general and AI tools for health care are not yet completely safe and accurate. Even if it feels real, an AI companion like Safe Space doesn't have emotions, values, or a true understanding of a student's life. It can say 'I'm here for you' or 'I understand completely' — but it doesn't actually know the user, and it has no responsibility to keep them safe. Imagine how terrible you would feel if Safe Space gave a student bad advice. While apps like Safe Space are desperately needed, it is an app that still require human supervision and oversight.

Great work!
