This is an extremely important topic, and it’s wonderful to see how passionate you are about it. NYC is very lucky that you are using your design skills and problem-solving to keep your community safe - keep up the great work! Using an app to spread awareness and inform people about their rights is a great solution, and I love that you used real data and thought about implementing multiple languages to reach a wider audience. In addition to the map that you plan to add, it might be helpful to add a page to help people find legal advice and other resources like that. Really great work!
This is a really important idea. It's really valuable to build software to help those who can't access resources otherwise. I see software as a tool to build a bridge between available resources and the people who most need them, and this product, LibertyLink, definitely does that.
I would love to see more mock-ups of your great feature ideas, and also would recommend that you do some research, talking either to your target users to understand what features they would find most valuable, or you can interview them based on what you've built and ask for advice on improvement. I'm curious how you would expand this to introduce even more resources to this population. Nicely done and a very thoughtful idea.
