Food Watchout

I enjoyed the interactive aspects of the project overall, and the concept of it. I think that if you were to change the colors, or logo the project, to something more food related, such as a fork or chef hat. The design of the app, was also very interactive and interesting. Aside from the somewhat repetitive description I think it was very well constructed.

I think your Food Watchout submission shows a strong effort to solve a real and important problem by helping people avoid allergic reactions caused by unknown ingredients. Your team clearly identified a meaningful social issue, since many people in the world have had allergic reactions due to food containing unknown ingredients. I also like that your concept stays focused on safety and prevention, and your alert screen is a strong example of that because it gives users a very clear warning when a food contains something dangerous like peanuts. It was great to see that you included parts of your design process, showing that your earliest idea was different and that you used post-its and storyboards to plan everything out before shifting your app toward food safety. That shows real design thinking and willingness to improve your idea over time. One recommendation I would give is to keep working on making the app layout more organized and easier to follow, which you also recognized in your own reflection. Overall, I think this is a thoughtful project with a clear purpose, and I want to encourage your team to keep developing it because the idea has real value and shows creativity, care, and growth as designers.
