About this Project

Fix the school lunch project is an app that lets students tell their school how the lunch is. Something else this app has is a calendar that shows what’s for lunch each day. The challenge my group had was asking people to fill out our questionnaire. Our app would work as an account based app that different schools can use.

Professional Feedback

What a great idea for an app! I totally wish I had something like this when I was in school. I love the research that went into this. I thought all your research artifacts in the presentation were effective.
Some thoughts I have after looking at your charts - if you get the chance to more research, I think it would be really impactful to know the reason WHY people do/don’t eat school lunch. It seem right now its just inferences on why students do/don’t eat school lunch, but its not backed up explicitly by the data.

I thought it was great that you mentioned that right now there’s no way for students/faculty to express frustrations for school lunch - this highlights that this app will be meeting their user base’ unmet needs.
For the app itself, I like the style consistency. I would play around with using icons, especially in the bottom navigation bar and also include a navigation bar in all the screens or add some kind of navigation button to the screens that lack a nav bar (a back button, return, go back to home). Right now it’s a little unclear to me how all the screens flow together, so it would be great to see a prototype of this! Great job and keep up the great work!
This is a great idea for providing feedback to school cafeterias for different users (students and staff). I like your research, and you will have more data once the app is running, but this gives you direction on what the users care about. The app layout makes good use of basic colors, but perhaps you could add some icons to make the overall look more fun to use. Maybe continue to use the same colors and font as the "weekly menu" icon?
