About this Project
We have designed an app that offers tutoring after school to students who need extra help with hard assignments/homework. Students would also get to pick their own teachers, which would be more comforting for some students, and get to pick the subject they need extra help in. Each subject would have special settings/buttons to meet the students needs. Additionally, there will be a parent tab for parents to communicate with the tutor to see how their child is doing. Professional Feedback
Great variety of user research methods with the competitive analysis, interviews, and survey. I also liked the description of the design process and how your ideas evolved over time. The presentation was a holistic overview of your project that showed how your research informed your designs. It was great to see the paper wireframes as well and how that translated to the mockups! I thought the app was well put together and loved the inclusion of AI features through the microphone as well! The Snap and Scan screen in the prototype was super fun.
Some suggestions I have: I would be aware of color contrast for accessibility purposes (for example, the button “Where the subjects help you”, also in your presentation where you’re attaching the prototype link). I would also work on possibly enhancing the flow for selecting a tutor. Once a user selects a tutor, it may be good to have it link to a profile or information on what that tutor specializes in then going straight to the subjects tab (I also wasn’t clear if these two screens should be directly linked). I think this app has a lot of great features and I can’t wait to see it evolve! Great work.
