About this Project
With “The Food Connect” app, our users will have increased

What the Judges are Saying
Food insecurity is a deeply important issue and this app demonstrates compassion and purpose. I appreciated how the user survey will help personalize support and recommendations. That helps make the experience more tailored. Including a feature for others to get involved with help is also thoughtful; however, it may be worth rethinking how to reach those users, since the primary audience for the app is people seeking help.
Still, it’s a great idea to consider how others in the community can come together to solve food insecurity.

Adonijah went above and beyond in developing and presenting her app design. Focusing on food insecurity, Adonijah comprehensively outlined the problem and considered solutions to improve her communities. In the presentation, the reader can easily follow the full workflow of the user from sign-up to search to travel. This type of app could be incredibly helpful for the significant portion of the population that faces health risk every day from food insecurity. Great job all-around!
Food insecurity is a significant issue, you selected a very thoughtful topic, and you approached it from the user perspective beautifully, with empathy and purpose. The survey is great, you address not only the need by location but also by urgency and this is very meaningful to someone in distress.
Your design thinking process was clear and simple - this is a good approach, you spent time thinking about, and developing the meaningful aspects of the topic, instead of spending all your time on layout design, well done.
I would have liked to see your market research, did you look for existing apps offering a similar service and compared your offering to theirs? Highlighting what makes your idea truly innovative, what sets it apart, would have been great.
Well done.
