About this Project
In The Chasing Lands, you're constantly on the run, relentlessly sprinting to escape the prison where the enemy boss is keeping you. While you're attempting to escape the prison guard monster, you have to collect the resources by passing through it while trying to escape the maze . Each box of resources adds to your score, to win and leave this prison you need 11 boxes. Use your speed to catch them all, but don’t get caught or game’s over. Are you going to restore the balance and escape with your comrades or face the wrath of your enemy? Your choice.

What the Judges are Saying
Excellently executed! The presentation is well put together and introduces a compelling story and issue. The demo captures the stress of trying to meet your goals while lacking resources and control in a fast paced environment. The demo is engaging, and could be improved with the concept of sharing resources featured in the game play. Overall this game has a lot of potential and does a great job in addressing a common and current issue, for both youths and adults.
It's awesome that you actually built a working game in Unity! It was fun to play even though I kept losing.
I really enjoyed your presentation, the description of the game's storyline, and your personal motivation for creating it. If you continue your work, your presentation's color scheme and 8-bit graphics are great and it might be nice to work them into the game itself. I would also love it if the backstory from your presentation could be included in the game itself somehow.
