What the Judges are Saying
The project has a purpose. It needs a bit of dimension and alternatives. For example can you prevent the war from happening? Are we negotiating with the other side or simply fighting for control. Great idea.
I am not an advocate of war. That being said, I would give this higher marks if the game's goal was to see how you could deliver aid through a battlefield situation, which would be an analogy of life's adversities. That way, it could be seen as a problem-solving tool. The layout shows initiative, but is lost in the state of play.
This project presents a realistic concept. The premise that “oil isn't an infinite resource” taps into a very real and pressing global concern, and you’ve done a thoughtful job of building a game mechanic around that idea. The PvP format is a strong starting point, and I encourage you to explore player vs. environment (PvE) modes to add depth. Imagine players dealing with limited fuel, environmental hazards, or evolving challenges over time. In my work in tech, translating complex global issues into interactive systems is a core skill, and you’re already showing early signs of that here. Looking forward to seeing how you implement computer opponents to expand the strategy and realism!
