What the Judges are Saying
An app to report the locations of ICE activity is certainly useful to certain individuals in our community. I like the way that you have information screens of all types- including local news and events, so it becomes a source of a larger network of what is going on and perspective.
The problem is clearly defined and effectively communicated through a compelling presentation. Using the map as the home screen is effective for visual orientation and enhances discoverability. This approach supports intuitive exploration and context awareness.
Reframing the app as an event tracker could improve neutrality and user perception.
It may also encourage broader engagement without placing blame on specific entities.

A very clear need and solution presented. The figma showed how effective a simple design can be and it meets the needs of those targeted as well as allies. Excellent demonstration of design thinking to fulfill current need.
