About this Project
Our app design is about the climate crisis all around the world. You can avoid those certain areas so your wont get caught in the mess and it gives you information on areas the crisis is happening. And there is a feature that people can use similar to
citizen app with all the same features just for different usage.

What the Judges are Saying
I'm happy these students are addressing the important topic of climate change and showing how it can affect their local communuities. If people are going to take action, they need to see how the impacts of climate change affect them and their local communities and this app could help!
To improve this app, I would encourage the students to think about what types of climate problems they might want users to highlight: extreme heat, flooding, wildfires, etc. Users would benefit from having some of those options to know what to comment on and highlight.

Hello Chanti, Alma, Amanda & Yobersis! Coming up with the idea to use an app similar to the citizen app platform is a fantastic idea. Not only will it keep people informed about what is going on around them, but it will also help with keeping the public safe. Climate change has been causing many natural disasters that have resulted in tragedy so having a way to alert people in a timely manner is so important. My suggestion to you guys is to think about potentially adding more resources on the app. While it is important to alert people of the disaster, I believe it is equally as important to inform people about why the disaster is happening. You could possibly let people know how they can reduce their contribution to the disasters so you can further add to your vision of climate change awareness.
I really like that this app focuses on hyperlocal climate issues while also allowing users to see just how ubiquitous climate change is on a global scale. Users can get a sense of what issues are impacting people that might look different than the ones they are experiencing in their own city or town. I also like that you included the ability to add live footage from actual climate change events. I think conceptually this is a very strong idea and I can see how this app would be a very useful way to learn more about the direct impacts of climate change. I think one area to explore further could be to find a way to map or track climate events over time. Sometimes negative changes to the environment are much more subtle and aren't acutely visible.
