About this Project

Our design is an AI powered robot, which would use claw-like hands with tubes to suck up trash. It would be commanded by the consumers through their phones where they can give it a time to leave and come back. After its done it will dock and users will pick up trash to take to a dump.

What the Judges are Saying

Great presentation! This is a unique and creative idea. Your problem statement and "understanding the user" slide was very crucial to show why your idea was important. I liked that this team interviewed fellow students to find a common problem and then developed an idea to tackle that problem (in this case, making clean water).

The "Happy Path" this team made was very clear and concise to what their AI programmed Robot Boat would do and the process of how it would work with the user.

Two thing I would recommend to expand and develop your idea further:
1. Research what does it mean to make water clean. How do you make water clean? Is it only by removing trash from the water? Or is there more treatments needed to make it clean, swimmable, and drinkable? This can help you think what else can your robot do.

2. There are a lot of other urban cities like NYC that may have this same problem. Researching on those cities and seeing if they already have programs/technologies to make their water clean, can help you develop your idea further and give you inspiration on creating your robot's program. This can also help show others that your team looks even further than NYC. The goal is NYC first, then bonus points if you think about other places with the same problems.

Overall, great job and keep up the good work team. I hope your idea comes to life one day!
