About this Project:

To reduce litter and encourage cleaner environments, our group designed an app that rewards you for disposing of litter and donating old personal items so they won't end up in the junk yard.

Design Process
1. Interview potential users.
2. Summarize interviews, and define problem.
3. Storyboard desired effect of app.
4. Design wireframes.
5. Create style guide.

This is such a great app idea. It's the perfect combination of design, technology, and impact.

I love that you outlined your entire process for building this, from initial user interviews to the finished product. That's exactly how my colleagues and I go about solving problems like this at my company, so you're all going to be well-equipped to take on tough issues when you start your careers.

The wireframes and UI choices are very thoughtful and will be engaging for users and the use of computer vision to detect when litter is cleaned up is really clever.

I'd love to see you write up a small "elevator pitch" or "product brief" that outlines your app in words: all the visuals you provided give me a really great idea of how everything works, but it would be great to have a 30-second description of the whole concept that you could share with any potential users or collaborators.

This is a fantastic idea and a very well executed presentation! I can tell that you pre-selected who would speak about each part, which is an effective method for public group presentations.

The style guide is aesthetically pleasing, and will make your app more visually appealing. Your inclusion of a points and rewards system will help to incentive and reinforce positive user behaviors in the real world.

I think you could include more written descriptions and explanations on your slide deck, to help convey your thought processes.

This is an important problem, and I love your solution to gamify the work of solving the issue. With this idea, your users can make a difference while having fun! You clearly put a lot of thought into the user experience and app design, building a style guide that is both visually appealing to the user and aligned with your branding. Likewise, the "scan" functionality is a great system to log the user's work.

Your pitch deck might benefit from some more written context to complement the wireframes. Telling the user story more explicitly would make it easier for the reader to understand your solution and ultimately help you best sell the value of the app.

Overall, you all should be very proud of your work identifying an important problem, considering ideas, and presenting a mindful solution. You demonstrated critical skills that will serve you well in your careers.
