Middle School Students from Mouse @ Stephen A Halsey JHS 157 Q
About this Project:
We created an intense world that is awesome for all to live in. Diversity is explored through all of the spaces we built. We have a flipgrid on the document below, our world was too large of a file. When you go through the world you will see all of spaces that are meant for all to share, with no exceptions for anyone. We have even taken disabilities into consideration. Our world that we live in currently, is very diverse and all people have to learn to respect each others differences. We all have a lot in common that is worth sharing our differences to learn from.
More About this Project
We have added several images of our city that we built. We have also created a flipgrid of our minecraft world and narrated the important points of our living space for inclusion and diversity. We hope you like it.

What a wonderful world you have built for people to visit. The focus on accessibility is great and seems like a place that would be easy for people to navigate. I'd like to learn more about how you plan to promote inclusivity and equality in your world. this project has great potential for helping others see how small changes can really improve their quality of life.
I was born in Bangladesh and moved to Queens, NYC when I was 5. I joined Mouse when I was in high school. My experiences in the program pushed me to get a BS in Computer Engineering from Binghamton University. My current career path was started with an internship at AppNexus (Now known as Xandr). From there, I accepted a return offer as a Services Rotational Associate. After 1.5 years in the rotational program, I received my full time placement as an Integration Engineer.

This is a very unique take on city design and its impact on people. This seems like a really fun city to explore. The focus on accessibility and inclusion of public transit was a great touch. I think it would be interesting to see your thought process as you designed and built out the city (maybe set over a cool build montage?)

This is awesome! I remember creating towns in Minecraft and the tranquility it all brings! Especially the music! I would have loved to see some of the features you added in for players to do once they entered the world and maybe explained in a bit more depth your thinking behind creating this virtual space for people. I think this project looks super fun and I would love to experience it myself! Great job!

There were many components in this game that made it even better and this does show a digital, but real-world where people could live in it. Instead of just buildings, you guys also chose to include subway lines that stretch across the town which shows the amount of effort and thought you guys put into it.

I like how there were so many buildings and the area was populated.
