Maiker and the Unknown Quest

About this Project:

This game was created so that others can continue their quest and stop evil and save the world.

I noticed that Shantae and Rayman didn’t have crossovers and they would work well together. They are also my favorite characters.

To design my game, I wanted to create an adventure. I included myself and my friend Angel in this game because we always love adventuring and never give up. I shared it with my friends and teachers and they added messages and comments. So I created some of the worlds and boss fights and it was awesome!

My game will be 2D side view. It will work on all consoles.

Good efforts in telling an epic game story! I love that you have drawn inspiration from so many amazing sources, and created a journey with gameplay that draws on the most intriguing parts of each of these sources. The positivity and can-do attitude of the protagonists of your game are inspirational and really complementary to the energy and pace of the game. I’d like to know more about the gameplay, especially what the player can do at each stage and how difficult/rewarding it is to execute a move. One of the tools designers like to use is paper prototyping, where designers can test game mechanics, level layouts and user interface elements, all done quickly using pencil and paper. It’s great for testing with your friends and family to see which aspects are really exciting and addictive, and which need more work. Hope to be able to play this game one day!

This game would be fun to play. I like how there are many different worlds that draw from myths and legends. I really would have liked to see some sketches or concepts of what the game would look like or some level sketches.
Overall, a good game design.

Wow! There is a lot of creativity, great story telling and FUN in this design! I love all the thought and imagination that has gone into this game. Also, I love your slide deck! So much detail about the different levels and characters. I would love to see the direction you would take with your art/character design in future iterations. Keep going with it!

This is an amazing set of documents that outline what your game would look like. This is very similiar to a Game Design Document (GDD), which breaks down the different parts of a game that you would build, before you build it. With your thorough documentation, I really get a feel for what the "vibe" of the game would be, and I really hope you all get to develop it!
