About this Project:

My project addresses the issue of pollution and how it affects the environment and animals. My design process came from my love of animals and how I wanted to advocate for animals a smy main game. I also wanted this game to be interactive with levels and a winning and losing system. It has evolved from being a few squares and dots to a full fledged animated website game that is playable and enjoyable.

This game is a ton of fun but what I love most about it is that it's a very simple message and it's very simple to play but does a lot to highlight the core message of environmental preservation. It makes a direct connection between the actions that humans (represented as boats) have on the environment both above and below us without feeling overwhelming or making me feel guilty. By saving the fish and birds I feel I've done something good, and that makes me want to do more. Nicely done.

In terms of user experience the pollution elements are a little difficult to click on but that is to be expected in a game that was built inside a time limit so it did not affect my scoring.

I love that I was able to level up and the challenge gets harder as I go. It would be great to see a little more connection between the pollution and its effect on the environment instead of starting over (because afterall we don't get to start over with preservation in real life). Maybe the animals grow sick and behave erratically? Or maybe the pollution builds up and makes it difficult to click on new emissions from the ships? These are small details that could be added over time but the core idea here is fun, informative, and guilt-free. Nicely done!

Love it! I had a lot of fun playing through the levels of the game. I'm very impressed with the design, animations, and overall enjoyability of the game. I certainly couldn't have made this when I was in high school. This actually reminds me of a game I used to play back when I was young called Insane Aquarium where you would 'catch' (aka click) falling fish pellets to feed the fish in your aquarium. Great game, great design, and an overall really fun way to raise awareness for an important issue!

This is such a great start to a game. I am extremely impressed with what you were able to do. I would love to see the game get harder as you miss pollution it could continue and the water can get darker and harder to swim through, but all in all, this is a great game and the design is extremely strong. Great job

Pollution is a very serious issue in this world so I think it was a very good idea to do a project about this. The game is very fun to play and is made for a good reason.
