About this Project:

Our app helps connect the right volunteers with the right opportunities to serve the community. The app will have a “What's Needed” page that will show volunteer opportunities that will be personalized based on the volunteer's profile. For example, if a volunteer lives in Bay Ridge and has a car, they may be notified about delivering food to a food bank in Bay Ridge.
Volunteers in mutual aid groups are often sourced through word of mouth. With this app, you are not only able to extend your outreach but also find the right volunteers at the right time. Volunteers and mutual aid organizations can communicate through chat rooms that have text and voice messaging as communication can to keep the two parties connected like a community, rather than an exchange of services.

The app is a very good idea, the inventors of the app put a lot of thought into it and should be commended. Now if they would just work on their delivery of the app. They needed to be more direct in showing what this app could do for people and why it is needed. Good work, just try to work on your delivery more.

Hi Big Brain Corpses, your idea is great! I must commend how clean and simple the app idea is - oftentimes, simplicity is the hardest thing to achieve. I really like the idea to present an organized menu of different kinds of help needed with the number indicator as well as the integration of the chat feature. It will help connect the right volunteer with the right kind of opportunity to serve the community by simplifying communication and making help more accessible for both the volunteer and those in need. This has great potential to bring the community closer together!

Hi, Brain Corpses! I love the name of your app, Extending Hand Hub, and its tagline A hub for those who want to extend their hand. This was very creative and it lets people know exactly what your app is about and pique's one's interest. The design of what the app would look like also looks awesome and very realistic. Great use of Figma. I wonder what the app would look like or what is your process to ensure that one's profile is personalized? What would that look like? Wonderful job!

Now THIS is some Big Brain Activity™. This is an absolutely amazing concept and project. This app is something that would be so incredibly useful in NYC and beyond for mobilizing active groups for people who simply want to help out their fellow man, It swells my heart to see you all thinking about mutual aid and how to expand the reach for it.

I also see so much evidence of truly critical thought about the app within your brainstorm notes. I only wish that there were more mockups of what these ideas would look like within the app since many of them would no doubt add to an already meaningful project.

I mean you truly are considering what this type of app would offer, and are being realistic with what challenges you would face in its design with critical risk assessment.

I truly hope to see what the next iteration of the project would be, I honestly believe it would be a game changer. Phenomenal work Corpses.
