About this Project:

The challenge our project addresses is to turn the issue of the undesirable flavorless food and the enormous amounts of people who can’t cook properly who need assistance.

One Of Our Teammates--- came up with the name Cheforía and...our group has a love for food. Then, We Came Together ---and wanted to help others cook, which led to the creation of Cheforia. Our First Idea Was To ---- bring a wide variety of cuisines from different backgrounds to a wide variety of people. However, We Realized--- we can make the app better if we find a way to create it specific to the user and what foods they see. Furthermore, to find a way so that they are more likely to cook that dish, which we thought could so by finding their cooking level.

If We Had Built Our Project ----- it would have different tabs at the bottom where the user can click on to go to a different area of the app. The Main Area ---- would be the food page which shows all the different dishes that are personalized to the user. Then, The Next Area Would --- be the search tab where the users can explore certain dishes. Then, Would Be Their Account --- page which includes their favorite cuisines they have completed. Once You Find --- a meal, (either through search or on your food page), you can click on the meal and all the ingredients are listed and replacement items.

As someone who cant cook properly, I need this app! I love that you provide a curated feed of recipes based on the users' food preferences and skill level! The favorites and save for later will be very useful, and some feedback is maybe you can add a space for private user comments after they've made a recipe, so they can document if they'd make any changes if they tried the recipe again. I also love the idea of having replacements for ingredients- it's clear that you know what users want when they're making recipes!

Love that you centered your project around food! You can tell in your pitch you really thought about what the users want out of the app (finding recipes that relate to the user's own cooking abilities and interests). I love that you then adapted your idea to reflect this. You also thought a lot about how to layout the app and its functionality! Great work!

Who doesn't love an app about food? Learning to cook can be overwhelming and you've clearly thought through a lot of the steps and struggles that people have trying to figure that out. I like the simple approach you laid out, and just through a few screens you were able to help people get one step closer to cooking. That's not easy to do, but you did it. Apps can also sound simple and get complicated very quickly and you've done a really nice job of keeping things simple and easy to understand. Nice work.
