About this Project:

In the game Minecraft, most buildings must come from an inspiration. My inspiration was the game and it’s features with a small twist of this Earth. Here in this essay, I will inform you about the world I built and its buildings.

The first house is a small one-story condo and it was the first house that was built. It is rumored to be used by the creators who made that world. The condo is powered by redstone and can function without power from the town. My inspiration was a condo in new york where the condos are small and compact. The second house is where Jean lives. It's the white house where the windows are blacked out. Jean is an adventurer and genius. Most of his time spent is outside and away. In his house are many valuable souvenirs in his home. The Third house is where Carson, James, and Lily live. The three of them like free running and built their house based off that, otherwise they are out doing what they like. The third and final house is where John, Serephina, and Kevin live, they are young and are learning under Lily and John.

In the shopping area there is Carson’s steak restaurant, where Carson cooks gourmet foods. Next to Carson’s restaurant is Ichiban Ramen where many other foods are cooked. The owner Ichiban is the same age as Kevin, John, and Serephina. The ramen place also serves as Ichiban’s house, he lives on top of the small restaurant. On the right side of Carson’s steak house is the convenience store and clothing shop. The convenience store just opened and it’s owned by Carson the business man. Lastly, although not part of the shopping district is the laboratory , that is where Lily and John work where they study animals, the environment and their latest project, is finding out the cure to most viruses.

LORE:

Multi - source - solar - panel (aka M.S.S.P) was a result of a collaboration that was Jean, Lily, and John. Jean helping with the construction of the MSSP. The Multi source solar panel is a solar panel that absorbs sun light during the day and distributes the electricity to the town so that the town has power to work, no fossil fuels are burnt and if they are very little is used.

It's clever to use Minecraft as a way to explore urban design. I like how your team cared for living spaces, retail and farming, and community spaces. It could have been a nice touch if the video told the story through the eyes of your characters (Jean, Carson, etc.) It looks like you could become city planners or architects some day. You've demonstrated some of the key ingredients - thinking about the needs of the population, and artistically meeting them!

I really love how thoughtful the design of your town is. Your town seems very comfortable to live in, with plenty of housing, good education, and plenty of food! I also really like your use of space; how the town feels dense, but then the surround forest is really only used for infrastructure.
