“Black Lives Matter”

About this Project:

My project addresses the importance of the Black Lives Matter Movement. It focuses on the many black lives (names shown as the background of the poster) that were unjustly lost and encourages the audience to recognize/acknowledge them by saying "Say Their Names". My project also includes ways in which you can support the Black Lives Matter Movement, which is by educating yourself, signing petitions, donating, and voting. I created this project because at the time, a lot of current events were being addressed and discussed on social media. So, I wanted to design a poster that would call to social action by drawing viewers in with my eye-catching aesthetic.

This is an incredibly powerful message that needs to be echoed around the world. You can tell through your design that there is a lot of passion behind this! Great job at being very action orientated with the words you chose on your poster! It brings up all the feels. The only visual feedback I would give is to provide more of a visual hierarchy. What do you want the user to read first, second, third? That can help balance out the design. But overall... well done! This poster would most definitely make me stop in my tracks.

Such a beautiful design!! This poster would definitely catch my eye and make me want to learn more. I love the incorporation of the names in the background and the specific CTAs you want people to take. Are you going to make them hyperlinks so people can click on them and get redirected to the resources? I would also consider having the CTAs at the bottom so your custom design is the first thing that captures the user's attention. Really hope to see this design utilized in future publications! Great job :)

Muntaha: This poster is both beautiful and meaningful - and showcases your skills applying social issues to great design. I especially love the graphic illustration style you applied to the 3 faces on the poster - how the negative space between their face outline and body/hair is transparent to bring in the background graphics. One thing I would consider for your next graphic design project would be to make sure the contrast between your text and the background behind the text is a little higher, so the words stand out clearly - you do this very well with the top few lines of text, but the "Say Their Names" is a little hard to read. I'd also love to learn more about how you made your poster! Overall, amazing design and message!!!

I like this project very much because all lot of people of dark skin tone don’t have enough rights such as light skin people. And everyday we find out that a black person dies. Black Lives Matter.
