About this Project:

The theme of the game is important because we are advocating for animals. The game is to help people realize what really happens to the animals behind the scene. Our game gives you a tour of what happens to innocent animals in America and how they are being raised, only to be slaughtered in the future. In this program you are going to learn about the animal lives and how their habitat is not safe. You will learn about what happens to animals during cosmetics testing. What really happens behind the scenes of circus animals and many more. We are trying to prove in this program animals need a better life and that they should be free in the wild not chained up or behind a glass. Animals should feel loved by us humans, not scared. Our goal for this game is to let everyone know what happens to poor, innocent animals in America and how they use them just to kill them in the future. For example, the elephants are used in circuses but nobody knows that they are being abused by whips for not doing what they are trained to do. Little do they know that the elephants are completely frightened for their lives just for the sake of our pleasure. Another example is how bunnies are used for their eggs to raise or experiment, then they kill the poor mother and then sell them.

In closing, the animals are scared for their lives and we need to start doing something about it because more of them are dying while we do nothing about it.

Feedback from the Judges:

I really enjoyed how the project sheds light on the treatment of different animals. I love learning and didn't know that Rabbits where used in that manner. I also learned recently that animals in zoos were acting different since they originally grew accustomed to all the people and attention they were getting on a day to day basis. The project shined a light on this and I really appreciated it. The animation was great, have you thought about putting buttons for the audience to advance to the next scene instead of the game just auto playing? Great job!

Good efforts in thinking about how to present such a difficult topic! I thought that giving mistreated animals a voice was an interesting take. I would have loved to learn more facts from trustworthy sources, so citing them may get me curious towards understanding these issues further.

This is such a sad topic but it is very real. I think you did an excellent job shedding light on animal cruelty in a sensitive but informative matter. I commend you for choosing this particular issue and trying to educate people in the manner you did. The animation was a brilliant idea. Some food for thought, have you thought about making it a full blown interactive game? If you did so, you would be able to keep more people curious about what you are trying to portray.
