About this Project

My app is a representation of the problem most people
face. Sleeping problems are a thing of the past once you
download this app. My app will aim to help those get a chance
at a couple more hours of sleep.

What the Judges are Saying

It was smart to choose a problem that you yourself have faced. I love that you interviewed your peers to understand your target users and the customer problem! I would have loved for you to include more information about how not getting enough sleep impacts you and your peers and any information about how you came up with the idea to build an app around providing calming sounds for falling asleep. Is that something that's worked for you and your peers? I liked how you included the battery save mode to address a new customer problem of having your phone playing all night.
You started from such a personal and relatable place, which made the concept really engaging from the beginning. Sleep struggles are something so many people face, and grounding the idea in your own experience gave it authenticity and heart.

As you continue developing it, consider what could make your app stand out from the many white noise apps already available. What will make someone choose yours? What problem are you solving in a way others haven’t?

A few ideas you might explore to take it even further:

Build a sense of community – People often feel isolated when they can’t sleep. Could the app include a safe, calming space where users can connect or share tips with others experiencing the same thing?

Design/Colors of App – Pay close attention to colors and light. Avoiding blue light or using softer tones can make a big difference in creating a calming, sleep-friendly experience.

Daytime Reminders – Think about daytime habits that impact sleep. You could include gentle alerts or tips during the day to encourage better sleep hygiene, like reducing caffeine, screen time, or eating late.

You’re off to a great start—keep pushing it. You’ve tapped into something real, and with a few thoughtful enhancements, your idea could make a real difference for people who need it.
