About this Project
The Garden Committee reached out to us in need of new planters for the school’s roof garden. The current beds are made out of wood and have slowly deteriorated over the years. With a collaboration of Boyce Technologies company, we designed and manufactured new planters for our school's garden. The garden visitors and the garden committee will have now reliable, safe, convenient, and long-lasting plant beds that are optimal for plant growth.

What the Judges are Saying
The documentation, narrative structure, research artifacts and CAD designs to real product are very similar to professional industrial designers! Talking about your design process from brainstorming, to sketch, what works and doesn't work is a huge part of being a designer and I'm very impressed by the quality of your presentation!
Great work on your project! I was really impressed by the thoughtful and thorough approach you took.
It was evident that you prioritized creating a product that was both functional and built to last.
The research you conducted was thorough and I appreciated how you weighed the pros and cons of different options before making decisions.
Overall, your work demonstrates a mature, thoughtful approach to problem-solving and design. Keep building on these strong foundations!

FANTASTIC WORK!!! You clearly showed your design process from start to finish which is one of the biggest green flags in project presentation in my book. I love how you guys not only described the issue were attempting to solve but you also personalized the product to suit the target's needs. By including the sketches for your ideas and iterations, you allowed us to map out your design path from A to Z. Brownie points for drafting it out as a CAD design that was super refreshing to see. The only suggestion I would have, which is not even necessary in this case, is to include some feedback your target had on your final product design. Seriously guys, excellent work.
