What the Judges are Saying

I really enjoyed reviewing Playful Planet! The concept of creating a safe, entertaining space for children in hospitals is thoughtful and well-researched. Your understanding that happy children recover faster shows great insight into healthcare psychology.

The transition from yellow to calming blue tones creates a soothing visual journey, which is perfect for a hospital setting. The combination of games, shows, and personalized recommendations provides a comprehensive entertainment solution. You have successfully identified a real problem (stress and boredom in hospitals) and created a practical, engaging solution that could make a real difference in children's hospital experiences.
This is such an inspiring project! The students did an excellent job explaining the problem, providing a personal story, and connecting an impactful solution to address it. The attention to detail on the types of content hosted on the app shows that they thought a lot about what might help someone struggling in the hospital. I particularly liked the meditation page and thought the panic button was smart. I'm a big fan of Playful Planet!
What a cool app for kids that dislike being bored at hospitals! I really liked that the app was bright and colorful which has a great impact on our moods. Yellow is a very uplifting and inspiring color. Also, being able to choose what you want to do in a setting where it feels like you don’t have much control is such a smart idea. It helps kids feel more comfortable and even a little more at home. I think it’s awesome that you included games and movies since those are perfect for making time go by faster. You all did a great job thinking about what kids really need when they’re not feeling their best. Keep up the amazing work!
