About this Project

For our project, we made a website based on environmental sustainability. We wanted to focus on the issues of waste, so we added information about recycling and composting. Our project is a working website that you can go on, it has games, questions, and even a review form, so people can learn more
about helping our earth.

What the Judges are Saying

Nice work, EcoSprout! This project aims to encourage sustainability practices. Using games like jeopardy to drive engagement is a great idea. When learning feels fun, it's more likely to spread and be remembered. I really enjoy the lush visuals and the adorable characters Sprout and Rex. How would you take the project further, if you had time? Understanding composting and recycling can be a good first step for individuals to fight climate change. Could you expand this site to build community around climate action, or to collect petitions that push for climate-friendly public policy? Well done, team!
Great job on your website! I love how the design fits really well with the environmental conservation theme -- I feel like I know what the website is about just by looking at it! This is also really timely with NYC enforcing composting -- I wonder if you could include some info about that in your site to get people to your page. I really liked how your pitch talked about how you came up with the idea and challenges that you ran into. I would have loved for you to include some information about how the features on your website like the jeopardy and games will help raise awareness about composting!
Your appreciation for the creativity and relatability of the project shines through. Very imaginative and fun. The original characters and games mixed with facts about the environment are a creative idea. I like the approach of starting with oneself and trying to improve within your own community. The challenges you encountered while developing the website were very relatable. It's wonderful to see how engaging and educational initiatives can inspire positive changes in communities.
