About this Project
Our app addresses the ongoing issue of traveling through public transportation in a big city by giving you various options to get to your destination. You can see how far trains and buses are, and you can even see how long it would take you to walk there. ChooChoo tracks your walking speed after every use to develop the most accurate information for you.

What the Judges are Saying
An all in one app to get from point A to point B. I liked the idea of tracking the persons average walking speed and using that as how long it may take to walk to their destination. There is a need for accessibility information and this could help. Currently it involves checking a few websites and a little guessing on how accurate that information is. Perhaps adding a community feedback feature (like in some traffic apps) to alert people of inconveniences ahead, detours to take, elevators out of service etc.
I thought it was really interesting that you made a connection between transportation and public safety. This is a very unique perspective, and something other transit apps don't offer -- I think it would be a great idea to lean into this connection and add features highlighting the safety of different options for specific routes, especially at different times of day. Thanks for bringing to light a gap I didn't realize was there in existing options!
