About this Project
The main goal of this app is to be able to help people check
their blood pressure and sugar without having to spend any
money. The app helps people easily check their health without
having to spend money on subscriptions or a monitor. The
app uses AI to show peoples bpm and also as a side detail, it
shows your heart rate.

What the Judges are Saying
Greetings Faith! First of all, I totally dig the anime gifs, they were definitely a cute touch. Your project is a wonderful idea. Healthcare in our country is not always the most affordable to people. By making blood monitoring accessible to the entire population, you could potentially make huge changes. I love that you not only thought to have this app take readings, but you also included an option for doctor videos and additional resources so people can know how to better themselves on that front. A thought I had is to maybe include a feature that contacts 911 if the blood pressure or sugar is too drastically out of range and could potentially be a danger to the individual.
Hi Faith, this is a fantastic cause and motive for your app. Firstly, I love that you chose this app and topic because it is close to your heart. Secondly, the goal of the project was very meaningful, and I can see you did research and used your experiences to emphasize why this app is needed and how everyone and anyone could benefit from it. Doctor visits can get costly, as with medicine. To be able to monitor ourselves and our loved ones can help prevent major issues from occurring. This also allows users to work on improving their health first before needing to go to a doctor, all while paying at a much more affordable cost.
Within the presentation, I particularly liked seeing your ideas on what you want the users to see depending on what their condition is. The videos, comments from your doctor, and lab results are a great touch and easy to replicate with the various conditions aside from just blood pressure but also with sugar level.
Three recommendations I suggest are:
1. Including emergency contacts and a “family & friends” network that allows everyone to see each other’s results if desired for safety, but it can be a “healthy” competition with each other while checking in on everyone you care about. This can be with friends too!
2. I like the app design, and I understand your app colors are based on the color of blood, but I think some of the darker reds are too dark and may be hard to read for others or also give a more “down/depressing” feeling. Perhaps a more neutral or vibrant color can make it easier for users to use the app.
3. You and your mom looked into existing apps that required a monitor or a subscription fee, but also look into why they might charge or need those tools to do the monitoring you want to create with your app. Try to understand what they need and see what you need to develop your app in the future!
Overall, the idea is well thought out and has a clear goal! Great job Faith, and keep up the good work. I hope your idea can come to life one day and help as many people and more as you envisioned.
