About this Project:
We noticed that many students struggled to learn history due to a lack of knowledge. People wouldn’t care about history and would pay attention to it due to other subjects that they have during school. On top of that, students who are in their history class don't find it fun at all. We would want people to have fun while enjoying history, not for it to be boring and a waste of time.
Initially, the idea was to create a game that offered a fun way to alter history. However, as we delved deeper into the project, we soon realized that it had the potential to be more than just a game. We saw an opportunity to use the game as a learning tool to help students understand and appreciate history more engagingly. Therefore, we set out to refine the game further to create an immersive and interactive experience that would allow students to learn history more engagingly and memorably.
World Leaders RPG works by allowing students to learn about other experiences in the past and allows them to know more about the subject.

Feedback from the Judges:
This is amazing!!! I wish we had something like this when I was in school. I could see this being a great tool for teachers in all grade levels. Good job!
This is a great idea! Allowing users to learn as well as be entertained is a fantastic goal. There are alot of details that need to be filled in here but I think you have a really good project description presented. You will need to give some thought as how a users actions change events in the future. Good luck!
I absolutely love the application of technology to address a need in the liberal arts!!! So often technology is considered in the realm of "STEM" (science, technology, engineering, math), but this is fantastically creative to leverage technology to improve engagement in an "arts" class like history. This reminds of me the growing field of "Serious Games", where techniques that have traditionally been applied in video games or board games are used to achieve more "serious" results -- they call this "gamification". I think about gamification a lot in my job developing healthcare products, like how I might be able to award "points" when users of my apps do something healthy like hitting a steps goal each day! You've done a really great job introducing gamification here.
I also really enjoyed your explanation of how you arrived at your idea, and how it evolved over time to have even larger impact. You also were really clear about where you would take your project next. Another idea to consider may be how this might be developed using virtual or augmented reality tools, I could see your idea lending itself well to the technology! Overall, I think you've done a terrific job and I really enjoyed learning about your project!

THIS IS GREAT!! As a social studies teacher, I am so happy to see an idea that will help students learn and get excited about social studies!! When it comes to characters, any chance I could convince you all to include a 30-something year old bald guy who might happen to teach social studies at I.S. 27? :-)
