About this Project:
Our project addresses the issue of immense amounts of food waste produced every day. We aim to reduce this amount by providing accessible alternatives to throwing food away.
Our design originally was very simple, but as we continued to develop it it became more colorful, unique, and user accessible.
Our project works by providing resources to accessibly compost old food as well as a database of recipes (to use with old food) to explore and experiment with.

Makes Me Think
Feedback from the Judges:
I love this concept. With how much food we waste, we could feed another country for a year! I love the idea of finding recipes. I would add a "list your ingredients here" page, and it would suggest things you can make. I think it would be super helpful to those who are terrible in the kitchen (Me!); I love points and achievements. Maybe you could even find ways to redeem them at your local business so they can sell their food for cheap instead of it going to waste.
I need this to be real yesterday! I constantly struggle to use ingredients in my fridge before they expire, having something like this would help me tremendously! This is a project that would have enormous impact for a lot of the working population that typically have less time to cook and let things go "bad". Your design choices also felt REALLY in line with your concept, it felt like the branding really fit your group's target identity. Great work - I'd love to see what improvements you'd make over time!
