About this Project:

Have you ever had trouble finding a bathroom in New York City? Then this app is the app for you! Our team scoured the city to find free access bathrooms and have put them in one easy to find location. We rank them by their cleanliness, accessibility, and inclusiveness. We also let users know the size of the bathroom, if it is a public or single user bathroom, and if there are changing tables for mothers.

The presentation clearly outlines the problem and proposed solution. To strengthen the overall design process, it would be beneficial to see additional slides detailing your exploration and ideation phases. For future presentations, you can consider including a section that showcases the design thinking process that you went through to arrive at the solution. This could include sketches, brainstorming notes, or alternative concepts that your team explored.

This is an issue I can closely relate to! Not for just myself but for my young niece who I travel with often. It is a stressful situation scouring for a clean and available bathroom around the city. You outlined the problem and how you wanted to solve it, however, it would have been helpful to see early iterations or paper prototypes of what the app would like, what features would be included, etc. I hope you all further develop this idea because I would definitely be a user!

This is such a unique and helpful idea! As an expecting mother, I can completely understand the need for this app, and it's something I would have loved to have had access to in the past. Finding clean and accessible restrooms, especially when you're out and about, can be a real challenge, and you outlined this challenge very well. In order to get a better sense of your vision and the proposed solution, it would be amazing to see a mockup of what the app might look like. A visual representation would really help to solidify the concept and showcase the user experience you have in mind, but this idea has great potential!

Great idea! This is something EVERY person will use when traveling. I like the look of slides, the narrative storytelling, and the goal to bring awareness to safety and hygiene for young children, a person experiencing homelessness, and non-local travelers. I think the option for changing tables can be expanded to not just mothers, but any gender for a wider range of inclusiveness! I would also take the app one step further - see how bathrooms can be connected to the city for a real-time status update on their cleanliness based on its last cleaning.

This app is a great idea - keep it going!
