Teentube

About this Project:

It addresses an issue called cyberbullying. My app is to prevent cyberbullying and have others influence others to end it or find a solution for it

I came up with my idea because in this generation, other teenagers follow other teenagers. So i decided maybe a teenager who wants to end cyberbullying can influence others to end it too.

It would be able to search up different things about cyberbullying or little lessons.

Makes Me Think

Feedback from the Judges:

This is exactly what teens need - a positive and supportive place to go. I can see potential uses for this app. Teachers and mental health counselors could recommend it to teens to give them a support network. Great concept!

I love this idea to make a space for users to upload what they know and feel about cyberbullying. Your courage to try and make a safe space for both bullies and victims to share is great. I think a big challenge might be trying to get people to want to share on TeenTube.

I also love how you set up rules on banning an account if the things they post are disrespectful or harmful. Some things I would've loved to see in your video/presentation would be things that you would consider rude or unkind. If a victim is strongly uploading their hatred towards a bully in their video, should that be considered a rude video? If it is, wouldn't that be harmful to that victim's mind if their video keeps being deleted?

I think you can try consulting some psychiatrists and therapists to see what are the best ways to get people to upload videos about their feelings on TeenTube.

Such a positive idea and much needed as we all learn to use and embrace social media platforms
