About this Project:
Our app addresses the issue of over consumption and food waste.
We researched environmental issues. Then we interviewed students and teachers about the issues they thought were important. We found out that some people tried to compost and others often threw out food that expired.
Users of our app learn how to limit over consumption and find out ways to reduce food waste. There are informational quizzes and a tracker where users enter their daily information.

Feedback from the Judges:
This is a great idea and this app could be huge in helping to reduce food waste. Have you considered connecting your app with some of the composting machines like Mill or Lomi?
Hi team, great work!! I absolutely love this idea, and if implemented, it could help make this world a greener place. The profiles built on consumer information is a great way to ensure each user has a unique (yet equally effective) experience. Have you thought at all about marketing or how this app would get in the hands of consumers? While it is definitely important to reduce waste, I encourage you to think about other aspects that may encourage users to download (incentives, adding contacts, tie-ins for environmental resources, etc.). I work in supply chain and reducing waste is something we are constantly working on, so very transferrable.
Addressing waste, managing just in time inventory, and being environmentally conscious all at once is a common desire/theme within the business world today. Taking this idea and finding a way to bring to the consumer level is truly brilliant. The idea that the end user really has the control over the overall supply chain and can generate a mutually advantageous scenario where they save money and world is greener is awe inspiring. I would have like to have seen more detail regarding the "how" with regards to the application itself, but I understand the high-level premise. Keep that innovative thinking with you and I believe you will go far.
