About this Project

Backstory: In Scuba Heritage, the user is a Scuba Diver, who aims to continue the legacy of their father. The father is known as the Greatest Scuba Diver around. The father used to clean up trash from nearby lakes and oceans. Before he passed away. The player is given their father’s Scuba Gear and a memoir of his adventures and an ancient legend.

Addressed Issues: Scuba Heritage aims to address the issue of plastic waste in our Oceans. The player will be collecting and cleaning up lakes by completing levels.

How it Works: The user will play levels and explore the surrounding area, trying to collect all the trash in the nearby levels that progressively get harder. The user can purchase upgrades for their Scuba Gear with gems that can be found within the levels. The design of the game is similar to Super Mario, my game will represent a scrolling platform game.

What the Judges are Saying

This is super cool and innovative. The game is fun and engaging -- I love the design and your overall concept!

It would be cool to include an in-person element for people to get points for IRL trash clean-up or event attendance too. Awesome job!
Great app! Love the story behind the app, the creative visualizes, and the message to proactive take care of the ocean/environment. I like the idea for users to engaged by the rewards system, and the effort taken to complete the coding and design! Great job, and consider adding educational elements about sealife on different levels or volunteering in-person if the app has inspired them!
What a hip look on an entertaining game! The color scheme and icons are cool. Our responsibility to keep the oceans clean is as important as ever these days. You did a great job of tying intergenerational bonding and responsibility into the broader responsibility that we all have towards the environment. I enjoyed diving deep and picking up the underwater trash. Love it!
