About this Project:
Our team noticed that while at the park with our family, there were a lot of trash and all the people just were on there phones and playing games. We want more people to recycle to help our planet and recycling can help!
Recycle buddy
When you see garbage you take a picture, you will get points for spotting the garbage and then you will have to take second picture to make sure that you put it inside of the recycling.
This app is going to help people to pick up trash and not just throw it on the ground, our goal is to protect the environment we live in. It our futures home.
At first we didn’t know what to do and then we got more thoughts and thoughts about it more and more and then we got the ideas and then gave more details to it
The tools that we use was real life situations and ideas from our team
This is our future home, we need to take care of it.
Our goal is to have more kids recycling and helping the earth when we go to the park we see kids littering and its not right to do so we created this app for our future home and to take care of it. If we had more time i would say have more languages and more rewards.

This is a really important topic to be addressing and I like that the team used their own experiences to help them create this game. The idea of having to take a before and after picture is great - you make the player actually take the action of picking up the garbage and throwing it away! What is a little confusing to me is that the app is called recycle buddy, but the game description is about throwing away trash. I think both are important so maybe think about also providing more points if they take a picture of something that is recyclable and they then take a picture of them recycling the bottle versus throwing it away in a garbage can. I really like the team’s idea of adding more languages and rewards to the game. This is a great start with a lot of possible ways to add to the game.
Awesome idea! I'd like to try this with my kid when we are out and about! You've found a practical idea that can be done by anyone, anywhere and could also be implemented by individuals and organizations (anyone who has a phone can play the game, schools could use the game when a class is doing a clean up event etc). Well done!
This is a fun concept. Gamifying anything is how you drive engagement, especially with a younger user base. I love the inclusion of certain features like unlockable avatars. I can see classrooms creating activities around this app and collecting trash in teams, that would be fun!
