About this Project:
Our project focuses on the importance of recycling and aims to educate others on the value of taking action. By picking up their trash and disposing of it in a bin, individuals can make a positive impact on the environment. The significance of environmental protection is clear, as it provides us with essential resources such as food, water, materials, fresh air, and recreational spaces.
The idea for our project emerged from a consideration of the pressing issues facing our world. We developed our concept by first sketching it out on paper, then refining it through slides and digital design using Figma.
When playing our game, players can choose to explore Juan's backstory or opt out of it.
They can also select their character, map, and access settings to switch to co-op mode, allowing them to work together with friends to collect trash and clean up the environment.

Feedback from the Judges:
Very fun! I love the gamification of something so important to our planet. This will help people see what they can do in their own communities. Have you considered making this a real-world game where users can compete with each other on picking up trash in their local areas and uploading where and what they cleaned up? They could gain points for approximately how many pounds they clean up. Or you could host virtual event days where they could complete.
What an interesting way of getting the community excited about recycling! I love how you added a dress-up part to remind people that they should make sure to properly equip themselves before they do large cleaning events in their community.
I think this game could even be better if it could connect to the real community recycling events that are hosted. If we can show people how the recycling events go via a game like this, it can prompt more people to be prepared and want to join. I also think that it's really cool that you added different variations of adventures that the player can go on. I feel that it'll be very beneficial if you can specify the type of recycling that people can do. Recycling doesn't have to end with putting trash into the correct bins. Would love to challenge you to learn more about the things that each person can do for recycling and turn each of them into a unique adventure in this game!
