About this Project:

This app provides alternative routes for teens who walk by themselves to and from places (such as school, supermarkets, etc). When there is a particular crime or an emergency nearby, it provides a safe alternative route for the teenager to walk instead. They can also report something suspicious to keep other teens safe as well.

This is a very good idea to help teens feel safe when walking alone. Really good graphics on the home page, but it would be helpful to show an example of a safe route or alert about an incident/to avoid certain areas. The option to report something suspicious is a good way to involve the user.

The concept is a great idea, and is important to the intended users.
- The UI screens presented the concept in a clear, bright, and fun way
- I wanted to see more about how the concept was picked, researched, and how it would work
- The safety map would be of great help for more than just students, which would be a good future enhancement and potential market

Would love to see this built and tested with real students and members of the community.

What a wonderful idea for an app! As a martial arts instructor, I understand how important safety is, especially for teens walking alone. The user engagement aspect through a report function is really smart – allowing users to contribute to a safer environment for everyone. To gain a deeper understanding of your vision, it would be helpful to see a problem statement outlining the specific challenges faced by teens and your design journey that led to this solution. This is a project with real-world potential to make a positive impact!
