About this Project:

Our inspiration for creating this project came from the idea of helping people who are in need of psychological support and feel misunderstood. We were also inspired by students who struggle with stress while studying. Our project, Lila, is designed to provide mental health assistance to those individuals who require it. The application was conceived when I realized the significant number of people who need personal help. Lila will provide mental and physical support to people through different types of psychologists, offering better help. The most important thing is that Lila allows the person using the app to get help anonymously. In conclusion, we are pleased with the progress we have made and would like to have had more time to develop it further and have more opportunities to help people.

Feedback from the Judges:

Solid idea to help those struggling, I like where the concept is at. The emphasis on being able to submit for help anonymously was a good one and is something that is admirable for an app. I would consider going into more detail on how your app provides the feedback from a therapist — is it written or do they speak on the phone? How might someone request the same therapist if they liked one they worked with in the past? Overall, I like the idea and it is well intentioned to help a community that may be struggling for assistance.

Great idea! Mental health is such a pressing matter. Using technology to deal with it would be a step in the right direction. I like your presentation. There are alot of details that need to be thought about, if you are going to allow anonymous interaction how do you keep the service from being abused. That will all come out eventually. Good work - cant wait to see the finished product!

👏 Computer Science Education Manager at NYC Public Schools — Emoti-Con Judge
This is an excellent idea! It is so important that everyone has access to mental health support. Your app design is simple and easy to navigate. This is important for many people who are already feeling overwhelmed. I also like how you emphasize it being anonymous. Many are afraid to seek help because they feel shame. I wonder how you could take this app even further. Great work!
