- Education/Schools
About this Project:
Our project addresses significant challenges in education, particularly the difficulties teachers face in managing their classrooms and grading assignments. Our app, designed with teacher efficiency in mind, simplifies these tasks, making educational processes smoother and more accessible.
Our design process began with conducting interviews within our community to identify key areas needing technological solutions. These interviews revealed a common theme: teachers struggled to access and utilize school resources effectively. From these insights, we brainstormed and refined our app concept, ensuring it directly addressed these pain points. We developed a basic wireframe, initially focusing on functionality without aesthetic elements. As our app design progressed, we added visual elements and continuously tested and refined the interface. During the development, we adjusted our ideas based on feasibility and user feedback, which helped us finalize the design that best met teachers' needs.
Our app functions as an all-in-one educational tool for teachers. It features a user-friendly dashboard where teachers can view classroom rosters, track assignments, manage a calendar for scheduling, and initiate private chat rooms for direct communication with other teachers and parents. This integration aims to streamline the administrative aspects of teaching, reducing workload and improving classroom management. By centralizing these essential functions, our app ensures that teachers spend less time on logistics and more on teaching.

Feedback from the Judges:
Good analysis of the difficulties teachers face and presented in user-friendly interfaces with commonly used tools users are already familiar with (e.g., messaging, group chats, calendar). It may create too many messages (from individual students and groups) for teachers to manage and potentially send messages in error.
Wonderful concept! It’s clear that you were inspired by pain points you’ve personally witnessed and enacted on creating a solution. Your project description is clearly written and demonstrates storytelling skills. Your prototype is also easy to understand and clearly communicates to the user what action needs to be taken on each screen. In the future, I’d love to see what the overall flow chart looks like - to help see the bigger picture and how each screen informs others. In addition, keep thinking on what sets your solution apart from others that exist. It’s apparent that you have a clear point of view- Understanding what your solution does differently can really help your project shine. Excited to see where this project takes your team!
