About this Project:

Gameverse is a game in which the player will have to answer some questions about the gigantic universe and will have to respond correctly in order to make a rocket advance. The game contains multiple-choice questions as well as True or False questions that will challenge the player’s knowledge about the universe.

Inspiration:
People use to like the universe when they are kids, but when they are older, they lose their interest. We wanted people to know more about the universe, hoping that they regain their interest, because the universe never stopped being fantastic.

Design Process:

We wanted to make a game that teaches people, specifically something that we consider undervalued, and that’s where the idea of making the game about the universe came to us.
At first, we wanted that players that get a correct answer, gained a star, but we decided that a rocket moving would be better. The game was done in Figma, it contains designs and drawings and each slide will take the player to another, depending on the player’s answer.
The final result was a game in which the player will know more about the universe while answering questions and trying to move their rocket.

I had a lot of fun playing your game and was happy to see I remembered some facts about the universe! I thought your presentation was very informative and enjoyed hearing about your thought process and seeing your initial ideas.

I you had more time, this would be a great project to add a social aspect to so you could play with your friends or share scores.

I loved playing your game via the interactive figma environment! Augmenting a quiz with game design (as you did with your rocketship) makes the experience fun and addicting for the user. I wish I had this when I was in science class! Congratulations on great work!

Feedback from the Community:

👏
This is a great learning tool! I love your questions and that you plan on expanding with more. I also like your feedback when someone gets a question wrong. One piece of feedback I have is to make your rocket move in a more exciting way. For example, having it glide across the screen completely so it feels like you are really moving through space. I encourage you to keep working on your game-making skills! Keep learning about programming and visual effects! This will be very helpful to you if you want to go into gaming making in the future.
