About this Project:
FPT is an app for students to connect with other students from school to socialize at home in a safe space. Students brainstormed this idea because they would like to see friends after school. They interviewed peers who expressed interested in hangout with friends afterschool in an app. The app is safe because teachers must create students accounts and students can only interact with students from their school building not the whole world. Parent permission is also required. In the app students can post an activity they want to do with others such as watch tv or play a game at a certain time or simply look through posts and pick an activity to join. Once students join the activity, they will see friends in a video call on one half of the screen and watch tv or play the game together on the other half of the screen.

This is great work! You definitely put a lot of thought into your idea, who could benefit from it and how it could be done. I really think the kids that I know would love to have an app like this that would allow them to easily connect with their friends! I would be interested to hear more of your thoughts around how to ensure that all of the student interactions through the app would be positive ones. Nice job keeping the design very user friendly! Keep up the excellent work.
First of all I LOVE the concept of Friends Playing and Talking. This is such an awesome idea, to create social interactions that start in school and continue at home in a safe and fun way. I mean, who doesn’t like MineCraft and Roblox!! This project makes me think of how useful an app like this would have been when we were all remote-learning. Students must have really missed playing and talking to each other. This app is a great solution to a problem that we all went through.
I really enjoyed going through this project. I loved how detailed it is and how you've used the user-centered design process from the initial stages to the high-fidelity game design. It's impressive that you conducted interviews and based on them, created low-fidelity wireframes, which you then converted into high-fidelity designs using Figma.
At such a young age, it's remarkable that you understand the importance of a user-centered approach and how it contributes to developing a project that truly meets users' needs. The use of style guides to design the application is commendable.
Your idea is very well thought out. Unlike many platforms where users can chat with anyone, in your application, only teachers can add students, making it a safe and close-knit group. This ensures that only classmates or schoolmates can communicate and form friendships, which is particularly beneficial for shy students who may find it easier to make friends online.
My only feedback would be to consider the color contrast for accessibility. Ensuring that the colors have enough contrast will help people with low vision or other sight issues to use the application effectively.
