“FPT”

FPT is an app for students to connect with other students from school to socialize at home in a safe space. Students brainstormed this idea because they would like to see friends after school. They interviewed peers who expressed interested in hangout with friends afterschool in an app. The app is safe because teachers must create students accounts and students can only interact with students from their school building not the whole world. Parent permission is also required. In the app students can post an activity they want to do with others such as watch tv or play a game at a certain time or simply look through posts and pick an activity to join. Once students join the activity, they will see friends in a video call on one half of the screen and watch tv or play the game together on the other half of the screen.
