About this Project:
Introducing Calmer Chatter. An app where people who can’t afford therapy can! This can make therapy more accessible and would impact the world in an amazing way. Maybe this can change the world!
When working on our app, we created a mockup of the layers of our app. We made our home screen, our therapist screens, and a panic screen in case of an emergency. These screens are the 4 main screens for the app, however there are screens for volunteers and people who don’t want a therapist on the app. On the home screen people can use the panic button, call a therapist or volunteer to become a therapist. We also have a color guide for the app and what we use for them. Light Blue and Light Green are the main colors for our app to have a more calming tone. We will also color yellow for a happy and energetic tone. Using Calmer Chatter, people can hopefully benefit from any problems regarding Mental Health and can talk to a therapist or talk about their mental problems. This helps people with cheap prices for therapy and people with mental health. People who don’t like talking to others can benefit from the app as well. We will work hard on the app, and will take any feedback to make our app better for all!

Feedback from the Judges:
I love the simplicity of the concept of this app and that it helps provide an on-demand therapy solution which isn't always available with most therapists. It can be hard to wait for a weekly appointment with a therapist when there is a conflict or crisis, and I think it's brilliant that Calmer Chatter addresses that. I also love the name! It feels friendly, approachable, and communicates what the app is about. The app flow also feels cohesive and thoughtful. One area that could be added to strengthen this presentation is to design what the app might look/feel like on the therapist side of the app. I'm very impressed with the concept, mission, and flow of Calmer Chatter. Great work!
You all did a wonderful job on this project! Mental health resources are important for people to have access to, and your app provides that much needed help. I suggest shifting the language from "volunteer therapist" to a venting buddy or something along those lines as mental health treatment from a certified professional is very different from advice that a volunteer user might be giving you. Overall, great work! Would love to see how your group builds on this app.
What a great name! I immediately want to learn more when I see the name "Calmer Chatter." Your group did a great job of taking a real issue (access and affordability of mental health resources) and finding a unique solution. I agree with a previous comment that it's important to distinguish between a volunteer and a certified therapist, but I love that this idea helps lower the cost of mental health access. It's also great that you took color theory into consideration when designing the look of your app. I'd love to see what other features this app might implement — maybe reminders or targeted articles based on individual users' needs, or weekly alerts with encouragement or meditations. Overall, wonderful job creating a thoughtful solution to an important issue!
