About this Project:
Our group members are all deeply saddened about the rise in suicide cases in the U.S.A. For middle and high school age youth, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death.
The number of suicides for this group has more than doubled in the last decade, making it the second leading cause of death for middle and high school students.
More and more people feel like they are not loved and feel like no one will miss them.
Bio Pet was created to solve this problem.
Bio pet help people who don't feel like they are needed or wanted by anyone. They get to choose a pet that they will have to take care of. They will grow a healthy relationship with the pet and taking care of themselves. The patients will feel loved and will have more positive thoughts.
Our idea had improved throughout the process of making this, many more interactions were added, better graphics were installed, and more.
For this project we used figma, and slides to brainstorm our ideas!
Our project is meant to comfort those in hard times, depressing emotions, and behaviour overall
In conclusion, I believe our project will help society as a whole. Next time, if we had more time and resources, we would put more effort into the wireframe and add a more sophisticated look.

This is a very fun idea to help those with depression, by providing an opportunity to adopt a virtual pet which could provide comfort, a sense of purpose, and a space for healthy entertainment. The graphics could use some improvements with happier colors, and perhaps some images/examples of the pets that can be adopted.
The idea of focusing on an app for your peers is excellent! Taking care of a virtual pet can be fun but also a great way to encourage responsibility and a sense of accomplishment to someone who is feeling down. I think your app design incorporates a lot of helpful links, but how could you make it even more accessible to users with different abilities?
Wonderful concept! Your opportunity area is so large and ambiguous, and your solution helps your end users with actionable steps. It’s clear that a lot of thought and detail went into your project. Your project description clearly communicates the why and how, showing strong storytelling abilities that your demo and slides further build on. The key screens that you’ve shown also help add to your concept story and help bring your vision to life. Great job defining and sharing your solution! For next steps, I’d love to see what a pet might look like and how the different activities of going outside, eating etc.. help play into a bigger picture. Perhaps if the end user takes great care of their pet, the app puts them in touch with a real-life shelter? Excited to see where this project takes your team and please keep working on this concept!
