About this Project:
One challenge that continuously came up was how people didn't know how to help and how even though they know there is water pollution they don't know how bad it is. If they did, they described it as a trash island which is real.
We discovered the problem when we saw how since people were able to tell how much pollution there really is we want to be able to educate others and show them how to properly dispose of certain items.
The group that I interviewed were telling me how they know pollution will have a long lasting effect but they don't know how to help. This showed my group how due to people relying on other people to recycle is due to the fact they themselves don't know how to recycle. So we wanted to share our views.

Learning how to recycle and preventing our oceans from being polluted is such an important part of preserving our planet. I love how your app addresses this. I particularly like how your app connects young people from all over and discusses what's happening in other parts of the world. Great job!
This is an amazing idea! Allowing the user to see the effects of pollution and how they could potentially impact it and join with others in helping to clean our world's waterways and oceans could make such a large impact in the world! Connecting people to help make the world a better and cleaner place is just what the world needs.
Fantastic idea! I enjoyed reading about your design process. From paper prototype to mockup, I can tell you put a lot of thought into this project. I also think this app would do a great job of spreading awareness about the severity of the issue. I would have liked to see more information shared with the user about what they can do with this information to make a change but overall job well done!
