About this Project

Introducing #1ParkingPro, your ultimate solution to the parking struggle and car safety worries! We understand the stress of endless circling for parking spots and the anxiety of leaving your car unattended. That's why we've crafted an app that streamlines parking and ensures your peace of mind in any situation.

Creating this app wasn't a walk in the park. We faced challenges and tough decisions along the way. From brainstorming the concept to aligning it with community needs, we poured our hearts into every step. With tight deadlines and a multitude of ideas, the journey was daunting. But through perseverance and innovation, we transformed our initial vision into a comprehensive solution.

Our app isn't just about finding parking—it's about revolutionizing your entire parking experience. Through a network of cameras strategically placed in every block, we provide real-time updates on available parking spaces. No more aimless driving or wasted time. Plus, our app doubles as your car's guardian angel, alerting you to any emergencies like car damage or theft, ensuring your vehicle's safety around the clock.

Join us in shaping a stress-free parking future. Download #1ParkingPro today and reclaim your time and peace of mind on the road.

What the Judges are Saying

Great work. I hope to see a finished version of this one day.
Parking has and feels like it will always be a big problem. This is definitely a great solution and I hope to see it implemented someday! Great job!
You've done a great job telling a story here and coming up with an app that I think many people would be interested in! I'm impressed that your pitch starts with signing up and registering - we call this "onboarding" in both mobile app and web products; it's that critical first engagement with your product for a user. I loved your example mock-up of what a camera sees, which looked like realistic output from a computer vision toolkit such as OpenCV. One challenge I see is that the product needs a large network of cameras to work successfully, and (from your materials) I'm not sure how you get that. This could also open you up to big questions about personal privacy, something I believe is a hot topic in NYC. Great job on fleshing out a fun and useful idea!
