About this Project:

There are many people who adore flowers but are unaware of their identity. This app's goal is to educate the audience about the cost of the flowers displayed and the information required to care for the flowers. Your Flower is an educational software about flowers that also includes extra features including a built-in minigame and a letter-writing tool. This app allows the user to be informed about different flowers such as their prices, names and seasons they thrive in, and proper care instructions.
The design process was based on Brianna's love for flowers and this encouraged her to show people how to appreciate the beauty of nature through both informative and entertaining processes.
The app would contain 3 side contents being, a Letter Helper, which helps users randomize different introductions with famous flower related quotes, for a special for a loved one to give with the flowers you might get them, or a letter in general. The second being, a Flower Randomizer, which provides different types of flowers you can buy along with the price and best season to buy them in. Lastly, a fun minigame which tests you on your knowledge of flowers.

More About this Project

In the photos I uploaded, you can see the logo of our app design that Brianna designed using Pixilart. The video provided is a rough draft on how Your Flower would work. The home-screen contains three options to navigate to. Flower quiz, Letter Helper, and Flower Information.

I really wish I had a better green thumb and this app could really help me I think. I liked that you referenced expertise for flowers. It would be great to explore more on what impact you could have with more greenery in the city, but overall I'm sure will help brighten many people's day with a fresh bloom!

I found it a unique perspective to both value flowers (via study and identification) and also promote flower gift giving with accompanying letters that help the receiver keep the flower alive with valuable knowledge! I would really like to use this app when it is finished. There are apps that identify plants, but I love how you focused on flowers also tied in the gifting of flowers and the letters to help those plants thrive. You have a unique product that helps people value, and protect and appreciate the beautiful flowers around them! Perhaps a next step is to expand to plants that are not flowering yet, like an amaryllis, but make great gifts as well. You can also expand to plants that smell beautiful and also make great gifts, like herbs- mint, lavender, lemon verbena, basil, etc.

Your idea is very creative. I really like the way you included a game to make the app more fun for users. I also like that you share your information sources so people can continue to learn more if your app inspires them to do so. You might think more about how your letter helper could let users send emails to people that include their personal message and also more information about the flowers, the same as in the app. Nice work!

This seems helpful, especially for people trying to care for their own flowers! Flowers are beautiful, so I think being able to learn about them is really cool. Good job!!
