About this Project:

Many people in the U.S. suffer from food allergies. We wanted to provide them with a solution to find food that is safe for them to consume. So, that's how TasteSafe was born. We came up with an idea for an app that could help people who suffer from food allergies to find local restaurants that avoid the person's food allergens in their ingredients.

With our app, users can feel confident in the restaurants they go to, knowing that the food there is safe for them to consume. Our goal is to have the app be a user-powered app, where the users can add to the list of restaurants they know are allergy safe in order to keep others like them informed.

Wow! What a great idea. As a person who suffers from mild food allergies, this would make going out to eat so much easier. I think it is wonderful that you added a feature for those that are fasting, very thoughtful. The colors you selected work well for the type of app and also your logo design of the checkmark fork is very creative!

I would absolutely use this app! I love the idea and how thorough you are with what the app could achieve with at-home users and restaurants. Navigating allergies is a challenging (and scary) process, and having something to make it easier that is also engaging and fun is such a great idea. I especially liked your thoughtfulness in including recipes and being inclusive for all kinds of eaters. Your slide deck did a great job of introducing the idea and moving through the slides, and I liked that you included a user flow. It would be great to see more wireframes, and even a persona of a "real" person who might use this app. Overall, wonderful job!
