About this Project:

Hi my name is Victoria and My app is called Self Care & Love. The point of this app is to make sure everyone knows that they are loved. People need to understand that they are not alone and that things will get better. A big inspiration for this project was my aunt, who committed suicide back in 2020. She was only 17 and was a victim of bullying for 7 years and felt like this was her only option. I want people to let that is never the case Care and Love.

I can feel the love and personal connection behind this project as you set out to help people who are suffering with their mental health. Drawing the wireframes by hand is a great way to convey the look and feel of your app. At the same time the text on some of the images is a little hard to read, so it could help others understand your app better if you make the words bigger or type out the features in your deck. Love that your app puts emphasis on self love. I'd be curious to learn more about the user experience in this app - are the items videos? articles? are they learning paths that walk the user through a journey? Great start!

Firstly, thanks for picking this topic. We need our next generation to be kindhearted and socially responsible. It is a thoughtful and relevant issue today with with continued bullying and work-life pressures effecting mental health. Also it was very impactful as you related this topic with your personal experience.
You should work on this further to get deeper into issues that push people towards adverse decisions in their life and help steer them towards loving themselves. Inventorying what invokes joy emotion in people and help them with the same would make a great impact in your app.
On your project, it was interesting the way you used chart designs for wireframe of your app, again brings the personal interest you have for this app. The images though are very small and can have little more detail on what all you propose it to cover
Overall a great initiative and very good start for this project.

I love that you're bringing attention to a serious issue and drawing on personal experiences. That must be difficult.

I'd encourage you to keep designing out the app and look to tools to complement your work and make them on a computer if you have access to one. I appreciated the designs I saw and would love to see a fully designed version of the app

Victoria,
This is such an important message to get across. Your app is extremely thoughtful and I think it would be a great resource for people of all ages. Keep up the amazing work!

I think making an app on self feelings and emotions for help and needs to make that person feel more accomplished is perfect in my opinion because since she said her grandma commited suicide, this app will show people that violence is never the answer.
Good job Victoria!
