About this Project:

The app "Public Wi-fi Location Services in NYC!" is open for anyone and about the provision of public Wi-Fi services in New York City is undeniably beneficial for any residents and visitors alike. The project address how without assistance, many individuals are able to find where nearby Wi-Fi is available. Throughout the design and development process, the idea was made to help others in New York City with the help of finding secure and accessible Wi-fi in the five boroughs.

How the project works is that the user inputs which borough they would like using the dropdowns. The output will be randomized with the location of the public Wi-Fi, the provider, where the user will be able to access the Wi-Fi and the postal code which will be displayed in the appropriate text areas.

More information will be listed on the presentation and please enjoy the app!

I think this would be really helpful. It addresses the lack of connectivity that many folks face due to financial hardship. It can be further improved by selecting neighborhoods or zipcodes instead of boroughs as boroughs are extremely large and information might not be helpful if it randomly selects a location user would not be able to get to.

Such a great concept! Its great to see your design process and a peak into the coding behind it. Having free access to the internet is so important for so many of our fellow New Yorkers, so this project is bound to have a great impact. Congrats!

The app has a clear purpose and intends to solve a frequently occurring problem in modern times. This is an example that it doesn't take much to do something that goes straight to the heart of the problem. I agree that a zip code search could be the next challenge for the search process to be as close to the real thing as possible. However, the way you put the problem, the pitch, and especially how you build a solution proposal reveals a sense of opportunity and that is good for the creative process. Your project is useful, and that's quite good. I also liked the design. Good job.

I love the overall idea of this app! I think that it is also beneficial because the user is able to find where nearby Wi-Fi is available which is important in this new world of technology where having Wi-Fi is an important aspect.

I love this idea because when I was younger, I would always look up how to get free wifi when I go out. :P
Maru 👏 a High School Student
The app seems well-designed and useful, especially when people are on the go and looking for a spot where they can work online. I like this idea! It looks like it can be useful in many situations.
